Browsers Modern Poetry Book Club

The Browsers Modern Poetry Book Club is led by Elise Dressler and meets monthly. We would like to extend an invitation to all of our poetry loving customers (RSVP is not necessary). The books are available in store at 15% off if you plan to attend the book club.

Every meeting explores a different poet through reading and discussion.

January's reading is the modern classic Lunch Poems by Frank O'Hara.

Description:
Important poems by the late New York poet, first published in 1964 by City Lights Books.

Often this poet, strolling through the noisy splintered glare of a Manhattan noon, has paused at a sample Olivetti to type up thirty or forty lines of ruminations, or pondering more deeply has withdrawn to a darkened ware- or firehouse to limn his computed misunderstandings of the eternal questions of life, coexistence, and depth, while never forgetting to eat lunch, his favorite meal.
